Indoor Project Season: Where Bathroom and Kitchen Demo Debris Goes
The outdoor work is done for the year. The fence is up, the deck is torn out, and it is finally too cool to want to be on a roof. This is the stretch when Central Texas homeowners turn inward — the hall bathroom that has not changed since 1994, the kitchen with the laminate that is lifting at the seam. Indoor projects are winter projects, and in Waco that season just started.
A Small Room Makes a Surprising Amount of Debris
People size the dumpster to the room and get it wrong. A single bathroom gut — tub, vanity, toilet, mirror, drywall, and the tile and cement backer board behind it all — fills far more than a pickup bed, and the backer board alone is heavier than it looks. For one bathroom, the 11-yard dumpster at $289 is usually right, and it is also the only size we can put clean tile and mortar in, because of weight limits.
A kitchen is a different animal. Cabinets, countertops, flooring, and a wall or two of drywall add up fast, and cabinets are bulky rather than heavy, so you run out of room before you run out of weight. For a full kitchen, take the 15-yard at $329 or the 18-yard at $369. If you get halfway through and the bin is full, call or text us and we will haul it, empty it, and bring the same one back so you can keep going — that is cheaper than a second rental, and it does not shorten the days you booked.
The Things We Cannot Take Are Mostly in Your Kitchen
Demo turns up exactly the items we are not allowed to haul, so set these aside before you start filling the bin:
The old refrigerator is the big one — anything with Freon in it, including a wine fridge or a window unit, has to be handled separately. Same for the half-used cans of wet paint, thinner, and drain chemicals under the sink, and any oils. Dried latex paint is fine to toss. If you are unsure about something, text us a photo before it goes in rather than after; a load turned away at the gate is a problem for both of us.
Take the Days You Need
Indoor demo goes in evenings and weekends, not in one Saturday. You can book 1 to 30 days on the website, and the extra days are $10 each through day 14 and $5 a day after that — a two-week bin on the 11-yard is $419 before tax. Book the days you will actually use rather than rushing a tile floor on a Sunday afternoon.
One thing worth knowing: we run one dumpster of each size, so availability is a real constraint rather than a sales line. Drop-offs need 12 hours’ notice, we are closed Sundays, and Wednesdays are mornings only.
Posted Prices, No Phone Tag
Our pricing is flat-rate and published, the included tonnage is stated plainly, and you can see your exact total and book online in about two minutes. You should not have to call three places and wait on quotes to rent a dumpster for your own driveway. And if we get something wrong, we will say so and make it right — that is how we would want to be treated by somebody working on our house.
